about
Bastien writes of Nigel...
“I wrote the track on the bass, and recorded a rough version on my phone, the lyrics and story sorta came straight away.
It's pretty straight up, most people been in a similar situation. It's basically about having a crush on someone who has no interest in you and finding out they go for a certain type, and you ain't it.
So you try and change and you just can't, it just ain't you. In this scenario, the girl's into the loud, confident, arrogant type.
Turns out everyone apart from this girl knows he's a dick, but that still don't make you feel any better, you're still not 'her Nigel'.
I think it's made up, haha, but I swear I remember this sorta thing happening to me when I was younger, either way, the feeling of not feeling good enough, and not being happy enough with who you are still sorta remains, and I think it does for a lot of people".

As usual, Kirby manipulates various interwar records to fit a cavalcade of emotional states: blissful (B1, E8), tragic (D2, D5), frantic (E1, E6), and just plain horrifying (F3, G1, H1, K1). gjoe52
I was brought here after listening to a live performance of Makaya's on you tube. I instantly loved the song Holy Lands so much that I had to see if the album version was the same rendition as the live one. Then I listened to the whole album! Universal Beings is a just a groove... It's a mix of traditional and something new, very nice. pandr1900
